It all started with former Goldman Sachs chief economist and current chair of U.K. think tank Chatham House Jim O’Neill saying the virus had “brought out the best and worst of the Chinese model.” and “Thank God this didn’t start in somewhere like India, because there’s absolutely no way that the quality of Indian governance could move to react in the way that the Chinese have done,”
This kind of splitted the world of opinions with liberal and western world, who never fail a chance to malign the current Indian Government to paint India as a repressive, stone-age civilization.
Facts and statistics, on the other hand, tell an altogether different story of preparedness by India with preventive measures taken before the sleeping world woke up to the imminent danger and now in the grip of the COVID-19, to an extent that entire Italy is in self-quarantine and almost all of the Europe and US are in a state of lockdown.
Some people won’t buzz with their agenda though, and so Sanya Mansoor writes a piece for Time, questioning if India can handle the outbreak and going on to proclaim that it can’t and just that the government machinery (Modi) is just hiding the figures.

This is when people challenge her and she presents Pratik Sinha of Alt News fame as the “expert”. See this!
Now, Pratik Sinha, on his own admission, has worked as small time software engineer jumping various companies and then started working on Alt News. He has no qualification or experience with Medical Science and hence not in a position to authoritatively comment on it.
Many people online have called the bluff already
The point here to note is all the so called “experts” are living out of India (except Pratik) and their affiliations, or rather hate for Modi is well known and visible on their twitter timeline.
Hence we can conclude – No! Pratik Sinha is not COVID-19 Expert and whatever he has said is out of his hate of the current Government.
Effectively, the news article is a fake articulated one.
